Richard has worked as an artist for many years. Gaining experience in studios including Disney, as a background artist, before going freelance in 1996. The main part of his work has been children's 

books,both writing and illustrating in a variety of styles. He has also had a life time passion for oil painting and saw this rewarded when he exhibited twice at the Mall Gallery in London with the Royal Institute of Oil Painters ( ROI ).

Richards books have been translated into many languages around the world bringing joy to readers globally.
